B. Release / market classification
QUALITY PRIORITY Premium process-improvement goal: TAN ≤0.03 mg KOH/g and lighter colour where commercially achievable. Existing grade specifications above retain the earlier ≤0.05 TAN acceptance level until validation.
BASE-OIL GROUP Do not label Group II solely on colour, viscosity or VI. Group II additionally requires saturates ≥90%, sulphur ≤0.03% and VI 80 to <120 under API base-stock definitions; test the relevant parameters before claiming any Group classification.
CUSTOMER RELEASE Confirm grade using a representative batch COA. Add buyer-specific metals, oxidation stability and odour testing where the application requires it.
REFERENCE BASIS Existing Rerol RRBO Product Specification (July 2026); ASTM base-oil tests; API base-stock classification guidance.
Applications
Grade and formulation fit must be confirmed from the latest COA and your own product requirements.
Base stock for automotive, industrial and marine lubricant formulations.
Base oil input for industrial and automotive grease products.
Raw material for fluids that require controlled viscosity and stability.
Base stock for industrial formulations subject to load and heat.
A re-refined input for suitable process and maintenance formulations.
Test a sample in your own blend before confirming a larger supply plan.
COA review
The applicable grade and standard are confirmed against the latest test report. Rerol does not publish unverified Group II claims.
